Thrift Town Haul 1/30/15

Anyone who knows me knows I am a cheapskate!  I used to spend ridiculous amounts of money on ridiculous amounts of clothing and other goods, but not anymore.  First of all, I have no job and I have 2 children, so I really cannot afford to spend too much money.  Secondly, I have since realized that I only spent money to make up for my low self-esteem.  Being a one-income household, I have to watch every penny these days, but I really don’t mind at all.  Why, you ask?  Because I love thrift shopping!  It’s a tradition that my dad instilled in me as a child.  My parents have always made good money on their jobs, but my dad still always shopped at the Goodwill.  His favorite stores are the Goodwill and Macy’s.  Now, I don’t have a favorite high-end store because I am totally against spending lots of money on clothing.  In all of 2014, I received three pieces of clothing from stores other than thrift stores.  They were birthday gifts from my mom and my husband.  I refuse to shop for clothing at stores other than thrift stores.  Hey, I’m cheap and I love to recycle.

So anyway, Thrift Town had a 99 cent sweater sale today and I could hardly sleep thinking about what I might find at the sale.  I am more than pleased with the items I found today.  Not only did I find some nice sweaters, but I found some sewing reference books in pristine condition and some beautiful fabric.  I could not have asked for more and I left with a huge smile on my face.  Enjoy these pictures of my haul…
